Bill Gates born in Seattle, Washington, in October 28, 1955

In 1968 he enrolled in the private Lakeside prep school, where he  wrote his first software program,  an implementation of tic-tac-toe that allowed users to play games against the computer.

In 1975 he created Microsoft, while still a student at Harvard.

n  1985  he  was  named  "One of  the  fifty  most  desirable  bachelors"  by  Good Housekeeping

On January 1, 1994, he married Melinda French and they had three children: Jennifer Katharine (1996), Rory John (1999) and Phoebe Adele (2002).

In  2007  he  was  ranked  second  in  the  annual  list  of  the  greatest  personal fortunes by Forbes magazine.

Since 2008, the year he stopped directing Microsoft, he has participated in some projects to spread this lifestyle. In this sense, together with Peter Thiel (co-founder of the PayPal company), he has supported the creation of artificial eggs based on easy-to-grow plants.

In 2016 he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom

In  2019  Netflix  launched  a  documentary  series  called  “Bill  Gates  under  the magnifying glass” directed by David Guggenheim.

In  2021  he  divorced  Melinda  French,  after  twenty  seven  years  of  marriage; but they continue to work together at the “Bill and Melinda Gates foundation
